Fast earning the sobriquet “The Racing Club”, the Carbine Club of London recently held the annual Pre-Cheltenham dinner at the fabulous OXO Tower restaurant. A full house (sold out since January) saw Kirkland Tellwright (the recently retired Clerk of the Course at Haydock Park)-pic left below- regale the audience with a series of thoughts and anecdotes, which daily face the boss of a major racecourse.
