The big event for the year for CCTAS is the annual racing luncheon which is held at Ladbrokes Park, Elwick Racecourse in association with the Tasmanian Racing Club (TRC). Friday 9 Feb saw the running of the Tasmanian Derby at the TRC’s twilight race meeting and the special race day was preceded by the Carbine Club’s luncheon. Following the luncheon members and guests were invited to retain their table in the wonderful surrounds of the Committee area of the grandstand, and to enjoy the great racing on offer.
